Wheels @ Wollondilly 2015
After weeks of rainy weather, Wheels @ Wollondilly was blessed with fantastic fine weather for the 9th May, 2015. Over 273 vehicles in attendance around the beautiful grounds of Wollondilly Anglican College, in Tahmoor, NSW. Thank you to the countless volunteers, as without you, this event would not be the success that it is and growing every year!

Wheels at Wollondilly
New South Wales Vintage Police Display
Thank you to Tony Fitzgerald from the New South Wales Historic Police Vehicles for providing four vintage police cars and one bike for the show. They were a huge success and the crowds loved sitting on the bike or in the back of the paddy wagon to snap some photos of their friends and family members. Tony and his team also donned the vintage uniform that was period to the vehicles they each drove to the show.

A big thank you to Captain William Morris from Picton Fire Station and the crew who attended and delighted the crowds with their display. Also the NSW Fire Service for the provision of the truck on the day.

Wollondilly Anglican P & F hospitality volunteers

Our hospitality volunteers working hard to feed the masses. Thank you to Xtrata that also operated the BBQ, including supplying the meat, bread rolls, BBQ and staff for the day. I believe everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The food was all very reasonably priced with Sausage sandwiches, steak sandwiches/chips/hot dogs and drinks on offer.

Scooter FunThank you to Pee Wee who drove from Sydney and donated his time to allow the kids at the show to enjoy some of his scooter creations. This was another free activity at the show.

Tahmoor 1st Scouts interactive display |
The Tahmoor 1st Scouts got involved providing the kids with a 2 free challenge activities. The rope bridge and rope climb were very popular. |
Electric go karts and electric replica BMW motor vehicles

The electric go karts were popular and another free activity for those who attended on the day. |

Rocker Cover Races |
The Rocker Cover racers where a great success with a huge number of entrants all vying to win the title of fastest Rocker Cover Racer. Much fun was had by all, including the entrants and spectators! I beleive there was quiet a bit of talk about many of this years rocker covers being prototypes for next years competition. With new and improved versions to be built and tested prior to 2016. The races where free to enter, so get building and enter the 2016 race. Rocker cover racers winner was Joel Witticombe - congratulations ! Runner up was Lachlan Morrison - congratulations ! The winning class was Year 4 - congratulations ! |
Wollondilly Anglican College school playground equipment
With the show being held on school grounds it also provides children with more opportunities to stay occupied for the day. There are a number of playgrounds, that remain open to the public throughout the day.
Dilly Wanderer

Wollondilly Shire Council's Dilly Wanderer joined the show for the day and provided lots of colouring and glitter fun for the kids. I think the mothers day cards were a big hit! |
Wollondilly Anglican ChurchThe Wollondilly Anglican Church provided (free) some yummy make your own treats. The lolly cars were a big hit with the Church volunteers helping the kids make over 200 of them. |

Face Art |
Pinky provided absolutely fantastic face art for the kids. Ranging from Frozen inspired butterflies to wolverine scars, there was something for everyone. Another free activity after entry. |
Classic Restos
A big thank you to Fletch for attending Wheels at Wollondilly. Fletch arrived early to start filming an upcoming episode of Classic Restos which will air on TVS in Australia and on USA television channels later this year. Thank you to all that stopped by and said "Hi" and those of you that took the time to be interviewed with your vehicle. Fletch was very impressed with the number of quality vehicles on display and is looking forward to attending next year.
