We've got an absolutely beautiful '69 Mach-1 in the shop at the moment for some touch up 'concours' type work. The owners are very active in the club and use the car a lot, but at the same time, are trying to improve the cars originality where possible. We'll post some pics as we move through the job, below. Enjoy!
Engine came out, to address the issues that it had, with respect to appearance. Runs great, but was held together by bolts that you'd buy at your local hardware, so it is time to switch them out with correct style bolts and repaint it as a complete unit, with correct valve covers etc. We took the time to phosphate the items required on the engine and bring it back to being more correct.
The hood lock support was missing the lower piece that attaches it to the front apron panel, so we fabricated a piece up for it, so that we could keep the support, as it is date correct to the car.
The power steer and alternator brackets had been done up so many times in differing locations, so the bolts had scored the steel in various spots. We've cleaned them up and blasted/repainted them, so that they look like new.
The numbers matching 351 had an average set of extractors/headers on it, but we had a set of date correct, factory manifolds here in the shop, so they've been thrown on while the engine was out. It's the prime time to address such things. They've been coated, to preserve their appearance as much as possible.

The engine coming together, ready to drop back in the Mach-1. We've installed a correct, rebuilt, dual vac advance, rather than the repop one that was on it.
